99 Thousand Steps Challenge

99,000 steps walking challenge

Step by step: Let’s end rabies.

This World Neglected Tropical Disease Day, challenge yourself by getting involved in our walking challenge.

Join our mission by walking 99,000 steps in just two weeks to end this deadly disease.

That’s an average of just over 7k steps a day.

Why 99,000? Rabies still causes the death of someone every 9 minutes, with the majority being children. 99% of all global human rabies cases are caused by an infected dog bite, which is why we are tackling rabies at the source of the problem and mass vaccinating our furry friends—to stop the cycle of transmission. The number 9 highlights the devastating impact of this disease.

This challenge is a great incentive to get moving and be outside, while helping to create a rabies-free world.
