The Rabies Rally: Drive the change

The Rabies Rally is an epic adventure where teams take on challenges whilst navigating across the stunning Cornish landscape. This annual fundraising challenge supports our Mission Rabies projects around the world, and it will be back for September 2025.

What is the Rabies Rally?

The rally takes place in Cornwall, with teams travelling along the coastline, covering around 60 – 70 miles each day. The teams pass through checkpoints and various iconic locations along the way. This team building adventure is spread across four days, with two full days dedicated to our tuk-tuk challenge. There are also fun-filled activities at amazing stop-off locations, and inspiring discussions about the mission to eliminate rabies.

The rally is about far more than team building. It is also about stopping a deadly, cruel disease that kills over 59,0000 people and thousands of dogs every single year.

Why are tuk tuks involved?

These nimble vehicles are intrinsic to our international vaccination drives and enable our teams to reach even the most remote areas. Our teams use tuk-tuks to raise awareness of our vaccination drives and the threat of rabies. These mighty machines are a cultural experience on wheels!

Why Cornwall?

Cornwall is a beautiful and unique part of the UK, known for its picturesque beaches and coastline. Throughout the event attendees will be visiting lots of areas of natural beauty. This inclusive event invites everyone to participate, offering a wonderful chance for our supporters who are unable to travel overseas, to be part of the team and make a difference. With three people per tuk tuk, this is ideal for those looking for a fun team building trip with a difference!

The Rabies Rally: Drive the change

More than just a rally

This event is about raising awareness and crucial funds in our fight to end rabies- a deadly but preventable disease that takes a life every 9 minutes. Since we began in 2013, we have educated over 8.2 million children and vaccinated over 4.3 million dogs against rabies. With your support we can protect even more communities from the cruelty of rabies. With your support we can vaccinate more dogs and reach more children and communities with life-saving information on rabies.

The Rabies Rally: Drive the change

Luke Gamble, CEO and founder of WVS, explains why the event is so important:

“Rabies still kills a child at least every nine minutes around the world and it is a horrifying disease. Rabies is primarily transmitted through dog bites, which means thousands of dogs are brutally culled and poisoned in countries where rabies remains endemic. Our projects show that rabies can be eliminated by large-scale vaccination campaigns – protecting both children and dogs in some of the poorest countries in the world. We hope this event will enable more people to get involved with supporting the charity and raise awareness about what we’re trying to do”
